Sneaky + Cute Camera Bags

Joy came to visit me this past week and all I have of our night out in Nashville are a couple of grainy iPhone pics.  Why?  Because I didn’t feel like lugging around my SLR and I blame my ugly Nikon camera bag.

It looks something like this:

It’s protective, functional, and fits all my camera toys … but it’s just not cute.  I like cute things.

My eye has wandered a bit and I’ve narrowed it down to my Top 3:

Epiphanie: The Lyric Bag

These are stylish bags that are meant just for ladies, “liberating us from the man-bag.”

Kelly Moore : B-Hobo Bag

Size: 15 x 4 x 10.5 // Price: $169 // Material: Water Resistant Man Made Material.

This one is girlie but she also carries bags for the boys.

Ona Bags: The Brooklyn Satchel

Size: 13.5 x 4 x 10 // Price: $309 // Material: 100% Vegetable-Tanned-Leather.

Inspired by the 1940s classic schoolbag.  Yeaaaaaaah.

They all have adjustable, removable interior pads to fit lenses, phone, wallet and other accessories.

At one point, each of these designers had wrapped their expensive cameras in scarves and T-shirts, throwing them in purses or messenger bags so as not to look like a tourist.  I’ve done that!  These were all born out of the desire to carry around your precious equipment in something that doesn’t scream, “Hi I’m a camera bag!”

So yeah, they are all great.  Which one to choose?

I think #3 is the winner.
